Needles and Injections?

As the role out of the vaccine programme continues across the UK, it’s worth remembering practitioners may be able to help people overcome some concerns they may feel towards needles and injections.

And, if it’s appropriate for your practice and the nature of enquiries you may be receiving, it could also be a good time to talk with your supervisor so you can ensure positive self care and best practice techniques.

With of all of the additional pressures which face us during the pandemic, you may also find a useful positive release of creative energy comes in the form of writing your own blog.

Not only will it do wonders for your online media prescience but it can really give a much needed morale boost for people who may be struggling at the moment.

And, if you’re planning to put pen to paper then why not write for the newsletter? We’re always on the lookout for members who may wish to contribute articles and ideas which could make useful reading for our growing therapy community.

Perhaps you’ve come across a particularly good book and would like to share its message with our community? Reviews can a great way of being able to keep up with some of the latest thinking (plus it’s a great opportunity to delve into a few classic bits of psychotherapy literature during the ongoing lockdown).

Writing for hypnotherapy publications is also a potentially great way to build up CPD hours and can provide an opportunity to share your enthusiasm for measuring outcomes (or some of those all-important top tips on remote working during the current lockdown).

These could provide a real source of inspiration for other members looking to expand their knowledge and expertise.

It goes without saying that confidentiality, is, of course, a key priority and we’re certainly not looking for specific case studies, but, perhaps, an insight into how you’re currently successfully managing your own ‘stress bucket’ levels.

You may also wish to reflect on ways in which you’ve created your own sense of peace for online clients when working from home, perhaps with the creation of appropriate backdrops enhanced with ambient music or lighting.
