As we continue through the current lockdown period, now is a good time to perhaps focus on different aspects of your business: everything from ensuring your accounts are up to date through to thinking about developing your future marketing strategies.
And, of course, it can provide a good opportunity to work on-line with a client. As we mentioned in our last newsletter, using a secure connection (and suitable web provider) can allow us an opportunity to develop new skills in providing therapy in a remote setting.
Obviously, nothing will be as good as face-to-face therapy, but, in the current set of circumstances, providing remote therapy can provide support for clients who may be dependent on our work.
If you feel like chatting about your approach with your supervisor then doing so may give you an opportunity to discover a new way of providing support for your client – just make sure their phone works before the session starts!
Perhaps you may be thinking about spring cleaning aspects of your website. If so, a blog could provide you with an opportunity to produce something which is uplifting in spirit.
It could be something which maybe gives a ray of hope for people who may be looking for a level of positivity during the current time.
Remember that blogs are also a good way of producing new content for your website, which can then result in your rankings improving. The higher the word count then the higher you might consequently rise up on the Google platform.
I once heard that 1500 words is considered the optimum length for a blog, 750 words is seen as medium sized and 350 words is seen as small.
Writing blogs can be quite fun and uplifting as it allows you to communicate your message in an informal and friendly fashion.
Likewise, it can be a good (and very positive) distraction during the lockdown period. It allows you to mould a piece of writing around a central message and deliver it in a friendly way.
And, of course, for us to do so, we need to ensure the intellectual part of the brain is fully in charge!
