The significance of self-care
Previous newsletters have covered topics like self-care and the value of finding time to unwind outside of the practice room.
We consider it crucial to “walk the walk while talking the talk.” And to do that, we must implement everything we discuss with our clients.
In other words, we focus on the good things we experienced and accomplished during the day—or the week. We are noting how we have overcome or managed challenging circumstances.
The Miracle Question can be used to make plans for achieving our objectives. Also, we may utilise visualisation as a powerful strategy to give our brains a chance to “practise” what we need to do to achieve our goals.
The Miracle Question and visualisation both provide the brain with a chance to “practise runs” before we put our ideas into action and succeed in the real world!
Our expertise and skill sets, together with CPD training, are crucial components of success because they enable us to stay focused on our objectives of assisting clients.
These elements build a solid basis for the Therapeutic Alliance and give clients a reason to believe in our skills. Also, it allows them to acquire the resources they need to help themselves.
CPD education
We are thrilled to be able to inform you of the many excellent CPD options available to our members.
This weekend, the outstanding New Horizon team will conduct a one-day workshop designed for hypnotherapists who treat patients who are going through menopausal symptoms.
The session, scheduled for Sunday, February 26, aims to give participants a chance to comprehend some key ideas surrounding menopause, menopausal symptoms, and therapy.
The online training session will begin at 10:30 and end at 17:00. The six-a-half hours of CPD are intended to improve your abilities, know-how, and comprehension of how to assist ladies who are going through menopause symptoms.
Previous participants praised the event for being “extremely instructive” and its “interactive style.”
Naturally, the objective is to put you in a position to collaborate securely and intelligently with patients and the larger healthcare team.
The workshop explores solution-focused practice strategies that will improve your capacity to help clients throughout sessions.
The objective is to boost your confidence in the provision of secure, efficient hypnotherapy help in the context of menopause.
CPD: Hypnotherapy’s place in the treatment of cancer
Building confidence in the provision of efficient complementary therapy is the goal of the half-day training. It operates from 9:00 to 12:00.
Given that one in three individuals may be diagnosed with cancer at some point, the course helps you understand how to practise and can assist and support people during this trying time.
Beverley Longhurst is leading the session. She has been a clinical nurse specialist in cancer for more than ten years.
In her writings, she discusses breast cancer, its therapies, and how yoga and hypnotherapy are used in oncology.
She has utilised clinical hypnotherapy as a support system for those who care for cancer patients. She employs methods to foster self-assurance, resilience, and the acquisition of practical self-calming skills.
We are happy to give you information on these two courses and acknowledge that the material will help our members develop valuable and necessary skill sets.
Our HPD training demonstrates that hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool for supporting people during trying situations. Naturally, we would advise any client experiencing a health issue to get medical support and guidance.
A significant component of CPD training is hearing from a group of subject-matter specialists on how hypnotherapy can be used complementarily for clients dealing with menopause or, separately, stress-related disorders brought on by cancer treatment.
We anticipate that participants will be able to offer practical support and assistance to clients dealing with some of the worst pressures that could happen to any one of us.
